I love answering questions by phone or email.  Yes, of course, it’s done with the goal of you checking me out, and also, me checking you out as to whether there might be the beginnings of an attorney client relationship.  Even if nothing comes of it, it would be my pleasure to assist you if you have a real estate related question, particularly for buying or selling properties, near Elgin or Kane County, Illinois.  Because my practice is only dealing with residential real estate closings, I won’t be much help to you on topics such as traffic tickets, estate planning, litigation, orders of protection, family law and child support.

Given my schedule and availability, I happily answer questions by telephone or email.  However, a casual conversation either by phone or email should not be construed as the establishment of a formal attorney – client relationship, as that conversation is not the proper way for me to discover all of the facts pertaining to a situation, including those facts that may be relevant to the answer, but not fully disclosed by you, a potential client.  Until a formal attorney – client relationship is established, none exists, and any advice you receive through these casual conversations should not be relied upon as legal advice.
